Derbyshire Netball Association and England Netball are firmly committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people to participate in the game of netball. We accept our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all young people and to protect them from poor practice, all aspects of abuse and bullying.

Safeguarding procedures include the essential principles embodied in the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004 and take into account the best working practice.

Within the East Midlands, there is a Regional Welfare Officer who ensures the game of netball is conducted in a safe environment for all young people to participate.
