Young Derbyshire Umpires Set the Standard

Through October and November 2010, four Derbyshire Young Umpires worked hard to convert their qualification to Netball Europe C Award status – the first Young Umpires to do so in England!
 
“We are so proud of our newly qualified Umpires. These Young Umpires are our future and we look forward to developing many more Young Officials and supporting our Junior Clubs in getting more members interested in officiating” says Donna Beckett, Derbyshire Netball Umpiring TSG Lead. “Derbyshire Netball will also be running Young Umpire Courses for the Derbyshire Netball Academy programmes in Buxton and Woodlands later this season and December 2010 brings the first of two C Award courses we are running in Derby to boost our stock of officials in the county.”
