Safeguarding
Derbyshire Netball have adopted England Netball (EN) policies and procedures regarding safeguarding of children.
Anyone under the age of 18 is considered a child or young person in relation to this policy.
The county run CRB verification evenings to ensure all CRBs are managed effectively and clubs have Safeguarding Officers who are appropriately vetted.
Clubs responsibilities:

Clubs responsibilities:
- Appoint a Safeguarding Officer in line with EN guidelines
- Adopt and implement England Netball Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball Policy and Procedures and Guidelines.
- Ensure all committee members and club members are aware of their responsibility in Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball
- Support members in accessing appropriate training and development
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and young people within the club
- Implement a policy of best practice
- Ensure all relevant members who have regular supervisory contact with young people are safely recruited according to EN guidelines, including the completion of an enhanced CRB disclosure with EN.
