✨ PDP Regional Tournament 17th Jan ✨ It was a big weekend of movement and stepping up across the squads last weekend. The U15 B team were moved up to Group 1, they fought hard against Year 10 opposition. Considering the entire squad is Year 9, they showed determination and gained valuable experience. They’ll only get stronger from here. Several Under 13 B and training partners were moved up to compete in Under 15 C, and they performed brilliantly. Because of this shift, many U13 B players moved into the U13 A squad, and some U13 Training Partners moved into the B squad - fantastic progression for so many players across the pathway. 💙 Those who remained in their usual teams stepped up beautifully, they embraced more court time and took on new leadership roles, proving just how much depth there is in the squads. Despite the cold 🥶, it was a hugely successful day of netball! Super proud of you all 💙❤️

🏐 What a match!🚨 Derby Roses put on an absolute show today in their epic clash against Lincoln City! From the first whistle, it was non-stop action. The pace was electric, and every pass needed to be on point to get the ball into the shooting circle. Shoutout to the entire team – the intercepts were next level, defence was rock solid, and the shooters handled that pressure like pros! 🏆 We were all on the edge of our seats the whole time, and I needed to leave at 3/4 time... but the intensity was just too much! 😅 Had to stay and see it through – glad I did, what a win! 🔥 And a massive congratulations to Maizie for being named Player of the Match – well deserved! 🙌 You were outstanding out there! 🌟

🏆 And not forgetting the Derbyshire PDP Awards 2025 – Year 7 & 8 🏆 What a year for this group, who have trained, competed, and grown through every session and match – and their commitment has truly paid off. Here are our well-deserved award winners for 2025 👇 ⭐Most Effective Defender – Ella Jones A dominant defender across two seasons, now training with the U15s and shining at regional tournaments. ⭐Most Effective Attacker – Annie Dickson Annie’s attacking speed and sharp court awareness helped drive the team’s unbeaten run in regional matches. A key leader and consistent threat in any position. ⭐Most Improved – Ava Barbour Ava’s first season has been a standout success! Spotted at a Derbyshire netball camp, she earned her spot in the A team and has shown consistent growth and confidence in defence throughout the season. ⭐S&C Top Performer – Polly Iliffe In her first year and playing up against older athletes, Polly showed serious determination – completing 300% of her S&C home sessions. Her dedication and attitude have been next level! ⭐Super Shooter Award – Orla Hague Just in Year 7, Orla’s goal-scoring skills were unmatched this season. A rising star and top scorer! ⭐Most Effective Centre Court – Chloe Wilson A central figure on court, Chloe’s impact and leadership have earned her U15 training and tournament standout roles. ⭐Most Outstanding Player of the Season – Esme Rea Her confidence and skills have gone from strength to strength, she has been a key asset to the A team this season. ⭐Most Versatile Player – Jess Wilson Jess plays it all, from centre court to defence or shooter, always with total commitment. Her adaptability and team-first mindset make her a true all-rounder! ⭐ Top Interceptor – Esme Rea Esme played all matches throughout the season and her interception stats don’t lie – she came out on top. ⭐Coaches Player of the Season – Rosie Bennet Rosie has grown massively in confidence and has been an all-round asset in a variety of roles. Her commitment to matches and extra U15 training show her dedication to development. 💙 Your passion, progress and teamwork have made this season one to remember.
